What started with a challenge to recover dining room seat cushions about 10 years ago became a hobby nurtured by skill enhancing videos and then following some training with a master upholsterer into this small business.

And we are small. Chairman Upholstery is a one-man operation, working on one piece at a time. It’s just me, myself and I re-covering or re-upholstering your well-loved pieces into something that will be loved again for many decades. It’s also me answering emails, preparing estimates, and talking with you about your project.

Every piece of furniture gets the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship that it and you deserve. In addition to the work meeting criteria that make me proud, every finished piece must receive an enthusiastic nod of approval from my spouse as good enough to be considered for our own home! She has a finely honed sense of style, admires fine craftsmanship and loves beautiful fabric.
